How to Configure Domain for Users Group

Enable Messenger services

Run> Services.msc - messenger service- enable it then automatically-start- ok

For Send Message to Particular User

Go in RUN – CMD- NETSEND USERNAME WRITE MESSAGE and enter

Send Message to all User

NETSEND *WRITE MESSAGE

Enable Remote Desktop of User

Right Click on my computer – advance – check on remote installation – ok

Create User on Computer after create same user on Domain

Right click on my computer- manage- local user and groups – user- then right click  and new user name –do not provide password to local user – ok

Define Local system Writes to write in C:/ Drive

Right click on C: drive – properties- security- add user everyone- define write as “check read and execute, write, folder” then ok

Define IP address

Right click on my Network Place – Properties- Local are network- internet protocol- properties –obtain IP address automatically (Check Both)

Define the computer member of Domain

Right click on my computer – Properties- computer name – change- check on Domain Name and write the domain name( DGC.COM) and ok- then it will ask for user name and password of server (write both) and ok after that it will show you welcome in domain 2003/2008. After that it will ask for restart the computer. Restart the computer and login the new user name as – (satish rana) and  password  whose you have create in New domain and in log on to  you to select you domain name and enter then you will be login in your domain

Domain user configuration on Server ( For Security )

Local Policies- Security Option- Interactive Logon Msg Text for users (Write MSG)

Domain Security Policy

Account Polices- Password Policy- Define minimum Password length

Security Setting – Local policies- Security option- Interactive Logon Msg Text for users (Write MSG)

Group Policy-

First Create user Group In Domain – Start- all program- administrative tool – active directory users and computers- Right click on server name as DGC.COM – New- Organization unit- write name and ok

After that refresh the Domain Name (DGC.COM) There you can see your new group name

Right click on New Group- Properties- Group Policy-Click on New- Write Name and ok- Edit

1-     Computer Configuration- window Setting- security setting- account policies Password policy-write minimum password Length

2-     Security setting- Security Option-

Restrict CD-ROM access to Locally (Enable IT if you want to user cannot use CD ROM )

Restrict Floppy Access to Locally (Enable IT if you want to user cannot use Floppy)

Interactive Logon MSG text for user (write MSG if you want when user logon to show Msg)

Interactive Logon MSG Title for user (write MSG if you want when user logon to show Title)

In Group Policy- User Configuration – Administrative Templates- window component- Window Explore

Remove Folder option from toll menu (enable it if you want user cannot see folder option in tools)

Hide the specific My Drive (Select Drive Enable It if you want that use cannot see Drives)

Remove CD burning feature ( Remove this if you want user cannot burn CD)

Administrative Templates-Start Menu and taskbar

Remove Link and access to window update (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove common program group from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove my document icon from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove program on setting from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove favorite from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove Search icon from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove help from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove my picture icon from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove my network place icon from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove drag and drop context menu from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove changes to taskbar and start menu setting (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove do not keep history of recently opened on exit (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove balloon tips on from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove Frequent Programs list from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove all programs list from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove set programs access and defaults from start menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove my document icon from desktop (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove properties from my document context menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove properties from my computer context menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Remove properties from recycle bin context menu (enable it) if domain controller do not want

Hide my Network Place on Desktop

Hide Internet Explorer on Desktop
